The weather was beautiful all weekend. Mom and Dad finally got to do some yard work and trim our out-of-control shrubs in front. I kept busy paiting the driveway and Caroline enjoyed her pack 'n play. Even Lily joined us in the front (tied up to a tree).
The big news for the day was that Caroline stood on her own for the first time (photo below). She is getting more and more mobile so her first steps could be very soon! She has been busy eating lots of real food with us and we have been cleaning up a lot of messes (and by "we" I mean Mom and Lily!) Mom got her a new kind of bib this weekend and Caroline decided to use it as a ramp to get more yummy food in her mouth. She also enjoyed having a second chance to go back to the "trough" for what she missed!
I have been doing a better job sleeping this week. Perhaps my new shade has helped. On Saturday morning Caroline got up half an hour earlier than usual (at 6 a.m.) for a bottle and then went back to sleep. Mom and Dad just stayed up since they assumed I would be up within the next 30 minutes. Of course this was the day that I slept until 7:45! My new thing to do at bedtime is to say my prayers. I like blessing everyone (and it is a great way to stall!) On Saturday I remembered to lead off with my new second cousin Adrian, who just came home from the hospital at just over 4 pounds (This is Mom's cousin Kristin's new son who was born a few weeks early). After I blessed everyone and said "Amen, God" I said to Mom, so who is God? Yes, that's a quick question to end the evening.
