Ice Skating

Things are getting back to normal here post-Christmas. Caroline and I went to school on Thursday and Friday, and Mommy enjoyed some time to get things done in the house without us being under foot! We are enjoying playing with all of our new things and yesterday I even let Caroline wear my new purple skirt as we had a dance party. You can see I opted for my new blue princess dress (thank you, Aunt Suzie!)

Friday I had my four-year-old check-up with the pediatrician and I am doing just fine. I am over 41 inches tall and weigh 38 pounds-- both are in the 75th percentile. This was also the first time I had my eyes and ears tested and I enjoyed playing the "games."

Today we went skating so that I could test out my new hockey skates, which were a birthday gift from Jamma, David and Suzie. I was very excited to try them out and did a pretty good job. Dad is going to work on teaching me to skate this winter.

Caroline also went out for a spin around the ice in my old skates. They are way too big for her, but Dad thought she had good balance and she seemed to enjoy it. She did NOT want to take those skates off! We watched the zamboni for a bit and then returned home for some hot chocolate. Dad and I were more into the marshmallows than the hot chocolate, but it still warmed us up!
