Caroline is walking a ton now and is about to transition to the next room at school. Unfortunatley we will need to shift what has become our well-oiled morning machine, since the new class follows a specific schedule. Currently, Caroline drinks her milk in the car and takes her breakfast to school so that she can sleep as late as possible, but now she will need to rise and shine and eat before school. Mom is working on how to feed Caroline breakfast without arriving at work with bananas in her hair and crumbs all over her clothes. So far Dad's plan is that Caroline should eat plain waffles every day!
We did a lot of our "usual" weekend stuff. We had planned to attend a big Oktoberfest on Saturday, but it was just too hot which is sad to say in October. Since it was over 90, we thought we might enjoy ourselves more at an air conditioned restaurant, so that is what we did.
Caroline is really becoming a little person! She walks and is working on wearing shoes now, since she will go outside to play with her new class. Even though she is doing just fine on her own, I still like to help her when I can! I am very sweet with her and when she falls down I comfort her and say "you're okay, sister" and try to help her up.
She has been playing more in the play room where my toys are and even did a little coloring/crayon eating and she played in the play kitchen as well. Although, I wanted to play grocery store and she just wanted to hold on to the wine glass and the faux box of tacos!
Mom is traveling for work later this week, so we will really have a schedule reshuffle as Daddy will be running the show. Wish us luck . . .
And speaking of luck, thank goodness the Irish got a victory. It was unfortunate that we didn't get to watch the game, but we're happy to have a record that doesn't start with a zero!
