Caroline was so excited that everyone was wearing green! And Katie was thrilled to wear her new sequined shamrock shirt.
Katie spent the first part of her day at kindergarten screening, which she really enjoyed. We'll hear how she did in a few weeks. She received a nametag that the teachers placed a sticker on as she visited the various stations. She proudly wore the tag to preschool all day (she's showing it off in the next photo).
It was a beautiful day here (70 degrees) so the girls had lots of outside time. We prepared many green foods to celebrate the day, including green pudding with thin mint cookies for dessert.
Last week, Jamie and I had lots of weeknight activities so we were worn out by the weekend. Caroline wasn't feeling great on Saturday and after a Sunday trip to urgent care we discovered that she had a double ear infection and a punctured ear drum- apparently it's just the size of a pin prick and will heal on its own. We have some drops for that ear along with the antibiotics. We've realized that she has a high pain tolerance because she wasn't complaining at all, and was even joking around when she must have felt bad. After getting started on the meds, she was back to normal by Monday.
